How To Get Business Owners To Know, Like and Trust You BEFORE You Ever Contact Them!

If you're looking for a new job or have something to sell business owners, you'll definitely want to keep reading.

.
.
Dear Friend:

.

If you've been in the OFFLINE market or looking for a new job for any length of time, you know how challenging it is to get any business owner to even listen to you.

.

Most owners are "protected" by employees instructed to get rid of people like you.  If you send a letter or an email, it's unlikely the owner will ever see it.

This NEW program will show you a way to be a "welcome guest" in every business in your town.

.

And I know every offline product says that or implies that but keep reading to see why it's 100% true.  That will come in handy whether you sell to the local business community or are looking for a job.

.

The following is a picture of me on the front page of my local newspaper back in 2012...
.

cashmobpaper

The reason I was on the front page is because I organized a "Cash Mob" for my small town.  (This NEW program is not about cash mobs so keep reading!)

.

If you're not familiar with the concept of a "Cash Mob"...

<

In short, a day is selected...a business is selected and a bunch of people show up with $20 to support that business.
.

In early May of 2012 I discovered the "cash mob" concept and thought organizing one in my town would be a great way to get the attention of business owners for my offline services.

.

I was right.

.
The "trouble" with a cash mob though is that there is only one winner....one winning business that has all the people show up.
>
After which you have a lot of disappointed business owners.   Not great if you're looking for a job or want to get local business owners as clients.

.
Fast forward to last week when I was listening to a podcast about a Hoboken NJ website that sponsored an event every year called the Hoboken Wellness Crawl.
.

.

Think of a "pub crawl" without the alcohol.

>

>
Instead of getting drunk, people sample products and services designed to help them improve their wellness.
>
As soon as I was back at the computer I looked up the event and anything I could about other "wellness crawls".
>
Surprisingly, there haven't been too many of these things organized (only 4250 Google results for "wellness crawl" as of June 2019) but I immediately LOVED the concept.

>
It has everything I look for in a "foot in the door" for talking to business owners.
>

1) I can build up a buzz before reaching out to business owners. (they may even reach out to me first)
.
2) I can provide tremendous VALUE before asking for anything in return.

>
3) I can organize one of these events in my spare time, for next to no money, remotely and entirely on Facebook if I needed to.

>
How does a "Wellness Crawl" work?
>

There are no hard and fast rules.
>
Hoboken requires participating businesses to give away some freebie on the day of the crawl.  These freebies might be samples of products they sell or something with their company name and details...like a pen or towel or cup etc.
/
Each business also has to do their own drawing for a prize with a value of at least $75.
>
The freebie is designed to get people to visit the business on the day of the crawl and the drawing is designed to help them build a list of interested prospects which they can, if they are smart, market to in the future..."sorry you didn't win but here's a coupon good for etc etc etc."
?
If a business normally offers classes...yoga, cycling, dance, etc. they will have free classes that you have to register for and they do fill up.

>
Hoboken also charges, I think, $25 for a ticket to be part of the Wellness Crawl.  I heard they sold 1000 tickets this year.  I'm not sure where the money goes.

I DO NOT plan to charge businesses or the general public to participate in the first Wellness Crawls.  Hoboken has been doing this for three years...they've got all the kinks worked out by now.

.

Since this is a new project for me, unfamiliar to the community, I don't want to waste time convincing anyone why they should pay to participate.

.
Having said that, if a business wants to be a paid sponsor and have their name on stuff I produce for it, then I'll take their money but that's not my goal for this.

,

At the moment I am planning TWO wellness crawls for this Fall...late September or early October for a couple communities in my area.
.

I'm going to document the process and when I'm done, I'll package it up like I did with my Cash Mob experience and sell it as "Wellness Crawl Profits".

>
I'm offering my readers the opportunity to follow along and perhaps, set up a Wellness Crawl in your area at the same time.

.

When ready in October, (after my first crawls are finished) "Wellness Crawl Profits" will be delivered in an easy to read PDF.  Until then, I'll keep an online journal (password protected) where I'll chronicle what I'm doing to set up and run my wellness crawls.
.
You'll be able to follow along and ask questions in real time.

.

And all you need is a Facebook account and a Gmail account to organize and run a Wellness Crawl.

.

If you join this program, I'll buy your domain name...YOURTOWNWELLNESSCRAWL dot com and set up your page to look similar to mine.  YOU CAN SEE THAT HERE.
.

There are NO mandatory costs involved in organizing and running one.

.

Organizing a Wellness Crawl will make you stand out in the community.  If you have products or services to sell or you're looking for a job, it will be MUCH easier with your reputation for getting things done and helping the community.

.

If you've purchased any other products designed to help you get business owners as clients, Wellness Crawl Profits solves your #1 problem...getting business owners to notice you and listen to you.

.

You won't find any income promises in this letter.
.
I promise you'll get in the door with a receptive ear from business owners in your town and you can take it from there.

Should Be Asked Questions

Do I have to live in the town where I'm doing a Wellness Crawl?

I don't.  My town is too small for it to be worth my while to run one here.  The communities I'm targeting for my crawls are 6-25 miles away.

.

What does it cost to run a Wellness Crawl?

You could get away with doing this for less than $100 and that would be for printing up some maps for people to use which list the participating businesses.  Other than that, only your time.  This can all be done with just a Facebook account and a Google account and the webpage I'll provide you.
 .

I haven't had my coffee yet, what the heck is a "wellness business"?
.
Any business whose goal is to make customers feel better... chiropractor, massage therapist, Day Spa, hypnotist, salon, yogurt shops, acupuncture, nail salon, gym, tanning, pilates, organic food, cycling, dentist, yoga etc.
.

Do I HAVE to talk to business owners?

Technically no, you could run this sitting at home in your underwear BUT you'd be wasting a tremendous opportunity to connect with business owners personally.

I know you want to make $100,000 a month in your offline business and not have to talk to anyone but when you're just starting out, you'll probably have to meet people.

.

What happens if someone else in my town gets Wellness Crawl Profits?

You can do one in other towns too and you should.  But being first is the best place to be.  Everyone else will look like a copycat. Click Here To Join Us Now!

.

How long, start to finish to get a Wellness Crawl done?

I will have 80-90 days to prepare mine.

.

Realize, the more time between the start and finish of the event, the better for you.  It gives you more time to interact with the business owners and prove your value.

.

How many clients will I get/how much money will I make from this?

There is no way to answer that question.

.

It depends on what you're selling and for how much. It depends on your follow-up after the event is over.

.

What this program will teach you is how to get the attention and respect of business owners in your town which can only lead to good things if you use it wisely.

.

If I don't own a business in the town how do I answer if someone asks me why I'm doing this?

.

My advice?

.

Be 100% transparent.

.

If you sell products or services to local business owners, you might say "I have a business doing XYZ and I know business owners are barraged by people like me so I decided to demonstrate my value to the business community by organizing this event."
.
or...I'm looking for a job in the area and I figured helping businesses get new customers would help me find one.

.

or something like that.  Honesty is the best policy.  If you have a better answer to that question, let me know.

.

I do own a retail business in my town. Can I organize a wellness crawl?

Absolutely!  If yours is not a wellness business...say you're an insurance agent or real estate agent for example, your reason for doing this is to help the local business community because "a rising tide lifts all boats".  Of course, you'd say the same thing if you DO have a wellness business.

.

Do I need permission to organize this event?

I can't imagine who you'd need the permission of. A wellness crawl doesn't involve a crowd standing around for which you might need some sort of gathering permit.  At its most basic you are promoting a business event.

.

Who are all these people who are going to show up and participate?

Ha!  Good question!  Most people in a community want to support local business owners who live and work among them.

.

We often forget they are there in favor of the Walmarts of the world and online options who are in front of us at the moment.

.

An event like this reminds us to support the "little guy" and focuses our attention on one date and time.

.

All the participating businesses should be promoting this on their social media.  I'll be providing them material they can use to promote it.
.
Local media outlets will want to cover it.  The Chamber of Commerce might help you promote it OR they might steal the idea from you, so keep it from them until you are underway a bit.

How is this product delivered?

When ready in October, (after my first crawls are finished) it will be delivered in an easy to read PDF.  Until then, I'll keep an online journal (password protected) where I'll chronicle what I'm doing to set up and run my wellness crawls.
.
You'll be able to follow along and ask questions in real time.

.

Do I need a website?

A full website?  No.  Certainly not for your first one. When you join this program, I will get  "YOURTOWNWELLNESS CRAWL.com" so no one can swipe it from you and I'll put up a page for you similar to mine here.
.

How many wellness company's should a town have in order for this to work?

Good question. I would say a minimum of five. If your area is really that small you could combine communities. Perhaps it becomes a county wide wellness crawl?

P.S. Look...by now you've discovered that business owners are NOT crawling over broken glass to get your deal...they don't beg you to work with them...they may desperately NEED your services but to date they don't WANT them...they don't fork over $1,000 a month to someone they've never met for services they've never heard of.

.

Heck, you'd probably volunteer to crawl over broken glass if just one business owner would even listen to you for five minutes!

.

Business owners are under constant "attack" from people selling...

.

-Advertising (web/radio/TV/print)

-Cleaning services

-Credit card processing

-Office supplies

-Web design

-Marketing services

-Insurance

-Printing

-Reputation Services

-Lead Generation

-SEO

-Whatever you are selling!

.

As the organizer of a "wellness crawl" you'll have the opportunity to talk about what you do in conversations with business owners.  Some will ASK what you do when you aren't organizing events.

.

During the ramp up to the event you'll be in regular contact to keep them updated on how it's going for them and this contact allows you to demonstrate your value.
