Tech Partner Notes...

.
On this page, I'm going to add any notes I think would be helpful.

.
At least at the start, there won't be any organization.
.
If I come across something I think will help, I'll add it here.

Cleaning Your Database...

.

In the video I forgot to explain why I was highlighting the big chains.
.
It's so you can compare the highlighted businesses in your area with the big chains who do texting.
.
Here's a graphic including all the ones I know about...

For example, if one or more of these chains is in your area, in your emails you can mention that fact or allude to it.
.
One of my approaches is to make the subject line of my email a recent offer I got or saw that went out by text.
.
Subject: Two 2-Topping Pizzas for only $8.99 each?
.
Hello!
.
Yesterday I received a text message ad from Domino's for Two 2-Topping Handmade Pizzas, for only $8.99 each?

.
This wasn't an unsolicited text.
.
I'm on their list and requested those text ads.
.
It doesn't look like you do text message marketing.
.
If you'd like to give it a try without cost or obligation, I'm your guy/gal.
.
Get all the details on my service at YOUR WEBSITE.
.
Thanks!
.
Your name
City, State
.

P.S.  That offer you made on Facebook of (OFFER DETAILS) would work well sent as a text message AND 98% of your audience will see it immediately vs 1 or 2% of your FB audience.

.
Back in January I made a video similar to the above.
.
I've set it up so that the video below starts at the 4:30 mark where the new info is...

.

Here's a book I wrote about Text Messaging in 2019.

.
You can ignore the tech aspect of things since I'm handling it for you.

.

I notice this on FB recently...
.
A friend shared it.
.
.

.

This massage place had a cancellation for Sunday and was looking to fill it via a Saturday post on Facebook.
.
That's great.  She had over 24 hours to fill the spot so a FB post would probably work.
.
I made note of this because it gives me a GREAT reason to reach out to these people offering my Texting Services.
.
The argument I will make is that FB is great when you have a lot of time to fill a space but what if that cancellation happened at 1PM on Sunday?
.
Having a text list of customers will fill that spot in minutes.
.
I've added a new Sheet to your Databases called Miscellaneous Leads where you can add info like this.
.
.
Update: I checked out the FB page of the biz above and saw this...

.
.

>
More ammo to "argue" they could be helped by Texting.

/

A question for the ladies...
.
Where do you get your hair done?  Nails?  Massage?
.
If you get any of these services on a regular basis, you might reach out to the owner of the business and ask them about text message marketing.
>

It's perfect for those kind of businesses particularly for filling spots created by cancellations.
>

When someone cancels their appointment with one of these service providers it hurts them right in the wallet.
.
If they can't get that spot filled, their pay that week will be lower.
>
Having their best customers on a text list means they can send an message out to the list like this...
.

.

That clickable link that appears on the customers phone will make it super easy for them to call and grab that appointment.
.
They'll get some calls AND they might even book some new business from people who were reminded by that text that they needed a service done.

.

They can't do this with ANY other form of marketing...reach their most likely customers INSTANTLY.

.

Ask a friend or service provider you do business with or who owns a business this question...
.
"Do you do any text message marketing to fill gaps in your schedule or to get your customers to come back more often?"

.

..Now, you'll get one of maybe 3 answers...Yes, No, What's that?

.
If the answer is YES, follow-up with "great!  how's it working out?"

.

If the answer is NO, follow up with, "I'm considering offering it as a service complete with a 30 day free trial, would you like to see if we can quickly fill gaps in your schedule or get your customers to come back more often?"

.

If the answer is WHAT'S THAT?...follow up with..."it's where business send promotional offers to their customers via text message."

.
Your goal for these conversations, regardless of how they happen (email, phone, text etc)  is to get out the line... "I'm considering offering it as a service complete with a 30 day free trial, would you like to see if we can get your customers to come back more often?"

>

If they are already using a service, you'd say..."The reason I asked is because I'm considering offering it as a service but it sounds like you're all set."
>
You never know...they might be unhappy with their current provider or need someone to help with the actual texting.

.

If they ask about pricing, "say that would depend on the size of the list and how often you text but most businesses would pay $100 or less per month after the 30 day free trial."
>

EVERYONE who has taken my suggestion and done this has had something positive happen.

Today, I woke up to an intro to a local pizza place about 2.5 hours from me.
.
Here's how it happened.
.
Last week I had a "zoom meeting" with an SEO marketing agency salesperson.
.
Her company has developed an online ordering system for restaurants and she wanted me to be aware of it for my customers.
.
I mentioned my texting services and she said she'd forward the info to a friend of hers in the pizza business.
.
Rather than sit and wait for something that probably wouldn't lead to anything I set up a demonstration and emailed my new contact...
.

I set up a demo for your Pepperino's friend.
.
If they text Pepperinos to 12345 they can see the service in action.
.
She emailed it to her friend, who tried it out and that friend said she liked the demo and wanted to talk more.
.
I emailed her back today and now we wait.
.
The lesson?
.
Demos work!
.
Demos sent from someone they know work even better!
.
Sooo...who do you know who owns a business that could use texting services...AND who do you know who knows someone who owns a business that could use texting services?
.
Pay attention on social media...if you see a friend consistently sharing info from a business you can assume they probably have something to do with the business or they know an owner or worker.

.
Do some research...see if they're active on social media looking for customers...check social media and their website to make sure they're not already doing texting and I'll set up a demo for you to send to them.
